New: Recurring Tasks — Routine You No Longer Have to Think About
Monthly invoicing. The weekly client report. Backup checks every Monday. Every company has tasks that keep coming back — and someone has to create, assign, and chase them by hand every single time. From now on, CTM does that for you.
What Recurring Tasks Are
In the detail of any task you set a recurrence: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, with a custom interval (say, every 2 weeks) and an optional end date. CTM then automatically creates a fresh copy of the task on the right day — and forgets nothing:
- Assignees — the new task is assigned to the same people, who get a notification
- Labels and group — the task lands in the right context on the board
- Goals (checklist) — the checklist is copied unchecked, ready for a new round
- Due date — the new task is due on the occurrence day, so it shows up in overviews and reminders
You'll recognize recurring tasks on the Kanban board by a repeat badge. The original task acts as a template — edit it, and future copies are created with the new content.
What They're Good For
Administration: invoicing on the first of the month, payroll inputs, monthly closing. Operations: regular maintenance, inspections, stock checks. Team rituals: preparing materials for the weekly meeting, the monthly report for management or a client. HR: annual performance reviews, renewing trainings and certificates.
The common denominator: a task somebody has to remember today. From now on, the system remembers it.
Available to Everyone — Including the Free Plan
We've included recurring tasks in every plan, the free one included. With competitors, similar automation is often part of higher paid tiers — in CTM every team gets it from day one.
You'll find the feature in the task detail under the Recurrence section. Try it on the first routine task that comes to mind — and never come back to it again.
